Art on the Prairie is an art festival in Perry, Iowa, November 10th (10-5:00) and 11th (10-4:00) 2018, showcasing over 100 Iowa artists, musicians and poets in 7 buildings in the downtown Cultural and Historic District.
Experience the rebirth of culture in a small town set on the prairie. On November 10th and 12th over 100 Iowa artists, musicians, and poets will gather in Perry’s downtown Cultural and Historic District to celebrate the arts with the ighth annual Art on the Prairie. This nonprofit art festival is a collaboration of creativity that layers art, music, and words from a foundation of small town community spirit and ingenuity. It is free to the public and facilitated by a dedicated volunteer team.

This popular craft show, the largest in North Iowa, has been sponsored by the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce since 1993. The show features 145 booths of top quality crafts in 3 locations. The Vintage & Made Fair will be held at the Dallas Co. Fairgrounds in Adel, IA (15 minutes west of West Des Moines) where our vendors will have the wonderful option to be inside or outside during the event. Held the same weekend as the downtown art show, Artfest Midwest features Iowa and regional artists. Over 250 artists participate during the festival, varying in mediums and styles. ArtFest Midwest is an alternative, affordable art show — a complement to the downtown show. 'The Other Art Show' reflects quality similar to that found at the original “Art in the Park” show held several years ago at the Des Moines Art Center (then moved to the Fairgrounds). In addition to exposure to local and regional artists, as well as selected artists from across the country, patrons can enjoy the opportunity to view demonstrations by the artists at work.

This is my second spring at Junk Bonanza, and I am super excited! I highly recommend the early bird ticket for Thursday morning. This is a very busy show, but don't worry, myself and the other vendors do a great job of keeping our booths stocked and restocked so that each day offers fantastic shopping.
