Sarah Bierstedt, designer & fine crafter
In 2005, I left my career as an elementary music teacher to stay home full-time with my two daughters. Now that they are older and attending school, I have transitioned into being a full-time designer, crafter, household manager, mom, and wife. Every day is filled to the brim but I still have loads of flexibility.
I am a self-taught seamstress who values attention to detail, customer service, and keeping fine craft alive and well. I design and stitch one-of-a-kind accessories for the person and home from repurposed felted wool, vintage linens, vintage findings, and other repurposed materials. I offer a wide array of products including large wool shoulder bags, cross body messenger bags, wool brooches, wool mittens, cashmere scarves, wool plush animal pillows, repurposed vintage planter pincushions, and many other unique products. My product prices range from $10-$95
I spend the majority of my time sourcing materials, prepping these materials for use, and then cutting, stitching, pricing and packing my creations. At this time I don't often sell online, but instead prefer to display and sell at art & craft fairs. I love meeting my customers and representing my work.
